LULAC Council 60

   APWI has joined LULAC in 2022 LULAC Council 60 is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping the Latino community. Council 60 was at the center of the Mexican American political organization in Houston during the 1950s and ‘60s, a formative time in civil rights history. Since then, Council 60 created three distinct programs that have helped the Latino community and other Americans from low-income backgrounds that flourish today. Project Headstart, SER-Jobs for Progress and the National LULAC Housing Commission.

East End Chambers of Commerce

   APWI joined the East End Chambers of Commerce in 2021. The EECOC is a business and
community organization located on the east side of downtown Houston, Texas. EECOC creates
networking events that help over 200,000 people expand their business horizons each year.
Through the Houston Chamber businesses connect with one another to share ideas, best
practices, and opportunities with the aim of making the East End’s community more
progressive and interconnected.
